Description |
Miniature Washtub. A small toy washtub with detachable wringer made of cast iron. The round tub has four straight legs and a projection to hold the wringer. The tub has been painted a yellowish-beige colour. The wringer is also cast metal but appears to be brass-coloured and much lighter. The handle and two rollers are separate pieces fitted on. The crank handle is a metal rod bent into shape. It extends in through a white porcelain tube. The upper roller has a metal rod fitted through a porcelain tube. Only the handle moves allowing the rollers to go around. |
