Quilt. A pastel-coloured pieced quilt in the Chimney Sweep pattern. On point quilt with sashing on the diagonal. Linen backing. Pieced binding, wool batt. Quilted in parallel rows. Alternate names: Roman Cross, Album, Friendship or Signature quilt. The chimney sweep design patterns the quadruple flues often found in the chimneys of houses heated by fireplaces. |
