Description |
Platter. An oval serving platter made of stoneware with the Blue Willow pattern. The outer border contains several scroll and geometric designs in an oriental theme. An inner border of geometric designs surrounds the center pattern. The center pattern consists of a tea house, pavillion orange tree (apple tree), a willow tree, and a bridge with three figures. The white glaze on the underside of the platter has a blue maker's mark. The curled banner has "Staffordshire" contained within, and the maker underneath it. |
