Description |
Goffering iron, made of cast iron. a) Iron stand has bullet shaped socket on the top. Held up by an "S" shaped stand and has a circular base. The base has a raised centre and ridges on it, ridges are also along the main circumference of base. b) Iron plug to fit into socket, has a long rod handle. Plug is an elongated bullet-like shape. The rod tilts at an 45 degree angle downward from plug. This is meant to be heated like an iron poker to heat the gofferinng iron (a) Both parts are heavily corroded. |
