Description |
Miniature Picnic Basket. A small wicker doll picnic basket lined with straw shavings and containing a picnic set for four. The rectangular basket has a large open weave on the bottom in a crosshatch design. The sides and top have a basket weave. The top and bottom edging is a length of straw "sewn" onto the basket by a thin length of straw. The closure consists of a piece of thin round elastic tied in a loop on the top, and a nail with a pearlescent white plastic bead on the bottom. The bottom of the basket is lined with straw shavings. The miniature dinnerware sits on top of the straw liner. Dinnerwear - four of each plus a thermos-like bottle and lid? on glass. Plates - 2.5 cm diameter, silver-coloured metal with a design around the outer rim. Cups- tumblers made of metal with a raised design of parallel lines around upper portion (2.5 cm high) Cream pitcher and sugar bowl of metal, creamer has a squared handle (creamer is 1.5 cm high; sugar bowl 0.9 cm high) Knives - metal with a design on handle (3 cm high) Forks - three pronged, with design on handle (3 cm long) Spoons - different sized bowls, design on handle. (3 cm long) Bottle - clear glass thermos with vertical stripes in orange/yellow/white. A cork is inside the mouth. 3.8 cm long small glass cups (3) - clear glass in a tumbler shape with a wide mouth (1 cm high). 974.047.011.015 is part of this picnic set, and includes metal tumblers and glass cups. |
