Description |
Sewing Kit. A leather and brass travelling sewing kit made in an oval tubular shape and having a central clasp to allow it to fold out. One side is a pincushion and the other side has holders for the tools. The lining is silk with cotton. One end opens to reveal an accordian-like divider with sections for money. The other end opens to reveal needlework tools and screw-on handle. A metal loop of chain is attached to the underside on each end to give two carrying handles. Floral design on outside. Also known as a house wife. |
